Product Description

Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose(HPMC)

Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose is white or white powder. It is mainly used as dispersant in the production of polyvinyl chloride, and as thickener, stabilizer, emulsifier and film forming agent in the production of other petrochemical, coatings, building materials, paint remover, paper making, cosmetics and other products.
It is an important variety of non-ionic cellulose mixed ethers. Odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, the finished product is white powder or loose fiber, particle size through 80 mesh sieve. It doesn't react with heavy metals.
Soluble in water, insoluble in hot water, soluble in DMF, DMSO, hot glycol and pyridine, insoluble in anhydrous ethanol, diethyl ether and chloroform. The aqueous solution has surface activity and forms a film after drying. After heating and cooling, it goes through a reversible transition from sol to gel in turn.
